We’ve had our little girl in Links Childcare Clontarf for 8 months, and we are only moving her as we are relocating.

I have had a great experience and our daughter (who was 1 when she started) has been really happy there. The staff have been great and we haven’t had a single issue. The early and late opening are so helpful when you need it, and the staff really care for the kids.

My son currently goes to this crèche.

He loves it. Its extremely well run, clean and it has loads of space (not like most of the cramped city crèches I’ve come across).

The food is prepared fresh each day by the resident chef. The staff are really amazing. They really take the time to get to know your child, every day they will share with you what your child has enjoyed that day, played with etc. Our son loves it here and is extremely happy when being dropped off in the mornings and each of the staff members says good morning and goodbye and uses his first name (even those who wouldn’t have direct contact would know his name which shows how well they get to know the children). There is an open door policy, parents can come in anytime and call into their child’s room (fingerprint entry for safety) which demonstrates the open nature of the staff and carers.

Our daughter currently attends this crèche and absolutely loves it!

The Crèche Manager is really friendly and approachable. The crèche is really well run, modern and clean – loads of space where the food is prepared fresh every day.

All the staff that my daughter has been minded by are excellent and genuinely care about the children. There is a warm happy atmosphere in the crèche and an open door policy where you can drop in at any time.

My little baby is 2.5 and has been with Links Childcare Clontarf since he was 10 months. Full time. Hes been in the Baby, Wobbler and now Toddlers Rooms.

When you are choosing childcare, for the first time, you never really know what to look for, or what to ask. The crèche itself is a large, modern, clean facility. It has plenty of toys and books/puzzles and equipment for all ages of children. Given the location it also has good outdoor space for each room (for me, its important, as my little one loves to be outside!).

The staff really make an effort to stimulate the kids – at each age – with lots of activities/games/songs/crafts/baking etc. There is always a story everyday of an activity or game or a craft to take home. They try to base their activities on the interests of the kids they care for, and are lead by this, which is nice. He comes home filthy everyday, covered in paint from crafts or food from baking, or who knows what else – all positives to me!

The food is good, and nutritious. My little one eats everything everyday. Pizza Friday is a big hit, and a treat compared to the healthy food and snacks they get the other days.

One carer said to me that they feel like they are more like co-parents, and I think that’s how it should feel. I guess most importantly, above all of the practical aspects, is genuine care and affection. I work very close by, and I can see (and hear) a lot of the fun and laughing. I also see a lot of genuine affection between the kids and carers. Lots of hugs and kisses and care.
Sarah the Manager knows all of he children by name and you can see she enjoys them. She comes up with lots of inventive ideas to make the drop off easier, which is always appreciated! Its obvious she spends lots of time in the various rooms during the day, as she generally has a story about something that’s happened or something funny she has seen when you go to collect.

Napping has always been a bit hit and miss with my little one, but i can see they really make an effort to encourage sleep. I have walked in many times when he was a baby to him being rocked asleep by a carer. I’ve collected him at nap time a few times, and the Toddler Room is airy and calm, with lots of space between the mats and relaxing music playing.

My little one talks a lot about creche and about each carer, the things he’s done and about his friends which is a good sign too.

My son has been attending Links for 12 months.

The staff are attentive, caring and provide regular feedback on my sons progression. What is most impressive is all the staff know each child’s name, from the little babies, to the kids leaving to start Junior Infants. I would have no hesitation in recommending Links Childcare Clontarf to parents or guardians.
