Summer is coming to an end and it is already September, a busy and exciting time in our créche! We can’t believe how fast time flies when you’re having this much fun.

This month we made the most of the Summer sunshine and making the most of lots of outdoor time. The month started off with Creative Minds, the children explored water play and all sorts of water games and experiments. Then, it was time for a trip around the world, we learned about sport, food and culture from all around the world – and even baked some tasty international treats!

The fun didn’t stop there though! We got the chance to make our very own musical instruments and perform in a talent show with our friends and Educarers. The children loved creating their instruments and making loads of noise!

The last week of Summer meant it was time for our Superheroes to come and save the day! We made Superhero art, had a treasure hunt and of course, got all dressed up to top it all off.

Links Got Talent!

This week our little musicians and actors/actresses really came into their own! We made our very own musical instruments and experimented with all different types of music, song and dance.

We played Finish the Story, competing with each other for the most imaginative, wild and crazy stories we could think of.

The Talent Show was the highlight of the week! The children got the chance to perform for each other and as always, our amazing Educarers made sure to join in the fun.

There was a chance for all age groups to get involved and have their moment “on stage”. We learned that all children are different and so are their talents – which just made the show even more exciting. We loved seeing the children’s confidence grow, even some of our most shy performers embraced the spotlight!

Superheroes to the Rescue!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It’s the Links Superheroes to the Rescue!

Both the staff and children alike had the best of fun this week. Our imaginations ran wild as we dashed around playing “Catch the Villain”. We even got to make our own superhero goggles and masks!

We never sit still for too long here at Links, so of course we had to have a Superhero obstacle course and our favourite – a Superhero Dance Party! I’m sure some of you lucky parents got to see our well practiced dance moves.

As you all know, we love an excuse to get dressed up, and what better reason than to celebrate the end of Summer with our Superhero dress-up day. We hope these photographs show just how much fun we had with our friends and Educarers!
