Celebrations of Culture & Kindness

What a busy four weeks we have had in crèche – and what fun too.

Celebrations included St Patrick’s Day, Easter, and we enjoyed themed events such as National Pet Day, caring for our pets and Gardening Day.

We are delighted to welcome back all of our children and we are having such fun together. Keep an eye out on our Social Media Channels for photos of our daily activities.

In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms that has taken place over the last four weeks . Susan, our Chef, based in Links Clontarf has also shared a recipe for one of our children’s all time favourite dinners, Beef Stroganoff!

Just a note to say that our Baby Rooms are very close to capacity in all of our crèches for 2021 and into 2022 so we would like to advise any parents that might be expecting and if you require any sibling places, please enrol as soon as possible. Application forms are available from us or you can also contact Kim from our Admissions Team on kim.jones@linkschildcare.ie.

Our next newsletter for you will be in four weeks time, in the middle of May, where we will share more news with you on what our children have been doing.

Take Care.

which made us laugh so much.

For our Pet Week we made all sorts of noises like animal. We listened to our favourite son, “Old McDonald Had a Farm” and clapped our hands and danced around. This was
so much fun – our favourite sounds were the woofs and the meows.

Our babies and their Educarers also made a book “All about Me. This book contains all the things we love, the letters in our name and a lot of things that makes us individual as

We also celebrated Jack’s 1st birthday – this is a huge milestone, and we loved celebrating with him and his baby friends.

We were sad to say goodbye to Aodhla, Oscar and Rayna, but we know they will be happy in the Wobbler Room with their new friends.

brighter and we can spend more time in the garden. We had a great time celebrating Easter. We were so happy as our Educarer Maria Barco was a winner in the raffle – she
was smiling all day. We made a little Easter basket and collected our eggs in there. We also made a lovely poster even making it 3d by painting some past, and adding

design our animals. We also talked about what kind of animals we have at home with the favourite been a turtle.

Preschool Room News

Preschool 1

World book day was a great day in Pre-school 1. We enjoyed our favourite books and Maria and Estella helped us by reading our books to us. We all got a turn it was so
interesting to have new books. We all learned so much about each other by what books we read.

We then celebrated St Patrick’s Day by making our own t-shirt. We printed different designs on each t shirt and made large shamrocks.

Maria and Estella told us a story about St Patrick when he came to Ireland and chased away all the snakes in Ireland and we were forever grateful, so we made him a saint.

We celebrated Easter by decorating our room. We made a special large Easter basket with decorations that Estella found in her garden and we made a big Happy Easter sign for
our window so everyone could see what we are doing in the classroom.

For Gardening Week, we made our very own special plant we planted lentils in cotton buds and watered them every day and let them grow. We then put them on the window so they
would get the light they needed. We went out to the garden and collected twigs and weeds.

For Pet Week we made our own pets on sticks and we made turtles, cats, dogs and bunnies. We had so much fun role playing with this and we pretended the animals came to life.

Preschool 2

In Pre-school 2, celebrated St Patricks Day and dressed up in our fanciest clothes (green of course). We enjoyed a party with the Irish flags, and lots of singing and dancing.

On our Gardening Day Natalia brought in some Spring flowers and we placed them all over the room to bring in some nice smells and the colours of Spring in our
classroom. We also used cupcake holders to create our own flowers using longs sticks and crepe paper to finish this design we are very creative in preschool 2.

Easter time was such a special occasion for us we had an Easter egg hunt that took us all over the creche we designed and created our poster for the door to decorate
our room. We also made little chickens on sticks that we used to tell our easter storey. We read books and happed around like bunnies all to celebrate the big day.

Pet Day was so fun we all talked about the pets we had at home we told our Educarers their names what kind of animal they are and what made them special to us we told funny story’s and how we would take them on walks. We even heard about a gold fish’s tank that lit up. Springtime arrived and were so excited to learn about the insects and the birds building their nests.

We are enjoying going the garden and bringing our activities outside we will soon be able to have picnics and storeys outside too.

Our children have been learning about the zoo and we discovered lots of things about monkeys and gorillas. We learned about where they live in the zoo and what fruits
they eat.
