We have had such fun over the past three months, as we enjoyed the rest of the summer and the nice sunshine in July and August.

We took advantage of the nice weather outdoors and played lots of games and had fun with our friends in the fresh air.
In September, we welcomed lots of new children to our rooms and we have formed some lovely new friendships together.
Keep an eye out on our Social Media Channels for photos of our daily activities.

We painted so many things fire engines Spanish guitars and our lovely rockets we loved getting all messy. We also learned a lot about musical instruments s we painted our babies’ feet to make guitars.
The babies also reacted to the sound of the fire engines driving by, so we made that into an activity by making fire engines to display in our room.
To promote sensory play in the baby room the Educarers made drums and shakers from materials you can find in the kitchen. The sound these new instruments made the children dance and move their bodies to the rhythm the babies’ favourite noise was the drums and the songs they sang with them. We also enjoyed Puppet Day the colours and movement of the puppets really caught the baby’s attention.
For Grandparents’ Day we watched clips of our grand parents singing song saying silly rhymes this really excited the babies seeing their grandparents.
We made the most of the warm months by bringing our toys outside and playing on the mats babies loved taking in the fresh air.

For September we were really interested in music and enjoyed this activity very much. We laughed so much using different instruments and noises we especially liked the instruments we made ourselves.
The children enjoyed making shakers bells also some maracas. Barco brought in her flute and guitar from home and played some relaxing music for the children.
We discovered Spain and all its delights we painted a big Spanish flag and learned all the colours. The children learned some Spanish words and Spanish songs and talked about some of the food we eat in Spain.
The children were very interested in Teletubbies, and the different colours and songs really took their interest, so we learnt about shapes and colours, days of the week and sang the good morning song. This really helped children relax. We painted the Teletubbies and used so many bright colours.
This month we welcomed Charlie he loves playing with cars and in the garden. His favourite game is hide and seek.

A very special day for the children was Grandparents Day. We made a special drawing for our grandparents whom we love very much. We also watched some lovely videos of our grandparents, and this made us all very excited. We had a great time celebrating our wonderful grannies and grandads.
We have also worked on our recycling theme, where we have created a super green bin, and brought some rubbish from home to feed it as it is very hungry. We ended the month discussing the topic of Autumn and we really enjoyed this, discussing weather, clothes, changing of the leaves and so many other subjects. We will bring this activity into October. We look forward to spending the year together and making some lovely memories.

Preschool 2
We want to welcome all the new children and parents that started with us in September we have had a great time getting to know them and learning all about them their family’s and what they like to do at home.
All the children made a piece of art to describe their new room. Most children said it was a colourful room with lots of toys and things to do. We drew some self-portraits and we talked about our families’ and pets, what we did over the summer. We also talked about going to the beach, going on airplanes, visiting families in other countries and going out for dinner for the first time in a long long time.
We talked about our emotions and through this we talked about feelings that made us happy and sad. We also talked about crying and when we were sad leaving our mammies and daddies and how this turned into happiness to see their friends. We also talked about expressions, and looked in the mirror and made funny faces – this made us all laugh so much.
Our children celebrated Grandparents’ Day with so many videos and story from our grandparents. We were so excited when our nana and grandads popped on the screen, and we made them lovely cards to say thank you. The children are so excited to see what pre-school has to offer and the excitement of new adventures.
