Activities from our Baby Room

In October, our babies showed a huge interest in movement and transport, and we also celebrated Beep Beep Day. We made buses and cars with our feet and handprints and enjoyed making Traffic lights using pompoms and used our toy cars to make tracks.
Then our Educarers Teresa, Estefania and Iris noticed we liked looking at ourselves in the mirror, so we started to learn about our body parts. We painted the colour of our hair and eyes on little self-portraits. We also made footprint love hearts where our Educarers wrote something personal about us.
For Pet Day, we made handprint doggies! We also did some sensory painting to express how we were feeling that day. Then we were very focused looking out our window, so we started to learn all about the weather. We made clouds and rainbows and sang “Rain Rain Go Away” together. We also used the sensory bottles to make rain sounds.
For Halloween we made lots of spooky art for our classroom, like bats, witches, pumpkins and little Frankenstein monsters. We also decorated our classroom door to say Trick or Treat, Smell Our Feet!
We welcomed our new Educarer Irene to our class this month, thanks for giving us all the cuddles!

Tales from our Toddler Room

Our toddlers had a very exciting month of October. We showed a huge interest in sensory play, music, stories and Halloween. We did lots of sensory play, like an autumn box with some leaves, sticks and compost to play and explore. We also did water play with our baby dolls and we pretended to give them a bath!
For Beep Beep Week we had a bike race in the garden! We showed an interest in music when we kept asking our teacher Carlos to play Baby Shark and other songs for us to dance to. We made our own shakers out of paper plates that we used to make lots of music with too while we sang and danced.
We also loved listening to stories, so we decided to write our own autobiographies with the help of our Educarer Fatima and Patricia. We did lots of Peppa Pig stories too, and even got a book that had a CD we could listen to, which was very exciting.
We got some dress up clothes in our classroom recently too so we’ve loved dressing up, so dressing up for Halloween was a lot of fun! We loved decorating our classroom with the pumpkins we painted, and also the witches’ cauldrons and hats and even our ghost footprints!
We welcomed our new friend Phoenix to our classroom this month. We can’t wait to learn and play together!

After-School Adventures

After-schoolers had a lovely month in October.
After we get back from school we like chilling out and doing our own thing playing in our classroom. But Soraya taught us a lot this month. We were learning about places like the Farm, Italy and making lots of Halloween decorations. We made some spooky decorations for our classroom that we got to hang up.
For Pet Day, we came up with our own creation of a pet by mixing together our ideas like a cat, spider, unicorn and fox all together which Soraya drew for us!
We also loved learning about Italy, we painted our own pizzas on paper plates, glued and stuck coloured paper to make the Italian flag and did some Italy themed colouring. We love doing fun activities like this, but we mostly love using our imagination and playing fun games together.
We loved coming in with our Halloween costumes and showing them off, but really love getting a break from school and homework!
