What a lovely month we have had during June. As the restrictions have lifted slightly, we are enjoying the stories our children are
telling us, about them meeting up with Grandparents and relatives outdoors.

We shared some lovely moments, engaging in our exciting activities and we made some special memories with our Pre-school
children, as they graduated from Pre-school class. We are so delighted for them, as they soon embark on their next big journey of
Primary School. Before then though, we are looking forward to creating more memories with them during the Summer months.
Special thanks to all our Educarers and staff who made Graduations such a special day for our children, and thank you Chef Joilta for
the amazing cake that she made.

We loved our Summer Festival, celebrating the Euros football tournament, and for Fathers Day, we got very creative and made some
lovely cards and artwork for them. Keep an eye out on our Social Media Channels for photos of our daily activities.
In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms that has taken place during the month of June.

Activities from our Baby Room

In June, we were working on our motor skills by opening and closing and putting things in and out!
We were putting the balls inside the carboard boxes with holes our teachers made us! We were also putting our toys into the boxes and taking
them out again.

We are loving our sensory play also! We decided to do some sensory feeling all over our bodies this week. Our educarer Virginia was rubbing feathers
on our skin and even dripping water on our skin for us to feel. We did a sensory sand box and were drawing in the sand. We also have been loving
going to the garden to be in the lovely sunshine,

In the junior wobbler room, we had lots of fun learning about animals at the beach and the farm! We made our own small
world beach box the previous week so we played with this a lot and made more beach animal art. Then after singing lots of
Old Mac Donald had a farm with our educarers Alba and Celia, we decided to do a big week on farm animals too. We learnt a
lot from our farm animal books and some new flashcards too. Our favourite thing was practicing the sounds the farm animals

lentils. We also made some animal artwork of cows, fluffy cotton wool sheep and handprint chicks.

We had so much fun during the farm week, we decided to learn about what else is at the farm, like the tractor! We made lots
of chug chugas and broom brooms while playing with our tractors. We even used a toy to make muddy tractor tracks. Then
we got to learn all about nature and our fine motor skills. We made a sticky flower frame which we hung up in our classroom.
We also used our fingerprints to make a bug jar art. We spent a lot of time out in the garden in the sun this week too!

In Senior wobblers, we had so much fun during our summer festival week. We had a big summer disco where we did lots of
dancing with our educarer Gema. We made flower necklaces, flip flip art, and beach pictures. We played with water and sand
too! Then we learnt a lot about professions of people we meet. We learnt all about police, firefighters, singers and chefs. We
did an art activity for all these jobs, like police cars, firefighter helmets, guitars and even made paper plate pizzas with Aitor!
In June, we learnt all about Space and the planets. We made our own solar system that we hung across our classroom. We

seaweed with Rocio!

Tales from our Toddler Room

We had a lot of fun during the end of May doing lots of interesting activities. We noticed some bugs in the garden and
decided to do more learning about what small creatures live around us. We learnt all about bees and how they make
honey, and we also learnt about caterpillars and butterflies. We even did a bird craft after we saw some birds in the
garden. During the last week of May, our interests were about food and we did a healthy eating topic. We made lots of
food arts and crafts and spent a lot of time playing with our kitchen food toys. We even did some food shop role play
with our educarer Inma!

In June, our healthy interest led us to learning all about exercising! We did a lot of fun sport games in the garden over
these weeks. We got to create our very own football net and we played a fun team game with our educarer Pedro. Then
we made our own basketball net to play with. It was so much painting and making the football and basketball nets and
then getting to use them in the garden in the sunshine all week. Then we made some gold medals to celebrate our
participation in our own little Toddler Olympics.

Pre-school & Naíscoil Room News

Pre-school

We really loved learning all about the supermarket in May. We
really enjoyed learning and colouring all the fruits and vegetables
we can see in the shops. We did a fish craft where we painted fish
and used glitter too. We made our own shopping baskets to role
play shopping games where we got to learn how to buy things
from the shop. On Monday, we saw a snail in the garden! So we
decided to bring the snail into our classroom and to do lots of
snail activities. We tried to give the snail some food and we talked
a lot about what snails do and what they eat. We even collected
some leaves to make him a little home in our class, but at the end
of the day our educarers Raul brought him back to his natural
habitat (outside!). We got to make our own snails with playdough
and did a snail art activity and even learnt how to play a new
game called “the snail and the cat”.

We had a lot of music and movement fun to start off the month
of June. We were doing a lot of songs with actions with our
educarers Ana and Miriam. We created a guitar and made our
own maracas. Our favourite thing this week was playing musical
chairs! We learnt how to play and had so much fun dancing
around. Then we got to grown our own vegetable patch in our
classroom. We all brought in some small yogurt pots and inside
we planted our own little seeds. We made sure to be gentle and
water them every day and watched them grow all week before
we got to take them home to show our families.

Naiscoil
We were really interested in learning all about our five
senses. We got to explore our five senses through
playing with sand, slime and playdough and we made a
texture board to feel for our sense of touch. We got to
smell and taste food for our sense of smell and taste.
Then we listened to music for our sense of hearing and
did a batman light on the wall activity for our sense of
sight. During our summer activity themed week, we
made a bumblebee wall, and designed summer t-shirts.
We also did an ice cream poster art activity. We also did
a lot of garden games, and loved playing outside on the
bikes.

It has been extremely exciting these last few weeks with
our Graduation preparation. We have done a lot of
singing practice to learn our graduation songs with
Jenny and Vitor. We made our graduation hats, a walk
of fame, a proud wall and got to decorate our own
graduation t-shirts. We got to finish our Dr Deuss
themed wall with big words saying “Oh the places you’ll
go”. We are all very excited for graduation day to sing
our songs and eat some yummy cake that Jolita baked
for us!
