What a fun few months we have had.
We kick started the new year of 2022 with our New Years Resolutions and enjoyed exploring our 5 senses, the human body and the human skeleton, as well as the circus. Our children also loved National Puzzle Day and creating some very cool inventions during Inventors Day. In February, we celebrated Chinese New Year, St Valentines Day and enjoyed Balance Day and had so much fun for Carnival Day.
Keep an eye out on our Social Media Channels for photos of our daily activities.
In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms that has taken place during the month of January and February. We hope you enjoy browsing through them.

Activities from our Baby Room

The Baby Room had so much fun during January and February! We started off by learning all about Spring andf lowers. We love looking out our classroom windows and seeing all the leaves growing and the new spring flowers. Our Educarers Iris and Teresa brought in some flowers for us to do some sensory play with. It was lovely getting to smell, touch and feel all the different flowers. We also painted some paper plates yellow to create bumblebees as we wouldn’t have all the lovely flowers without them! We loved doing some handprint painting to create our own flowers, which our Educarer Maria put real flower stems onto.
We had a lovely St Valentines Day giving our Educarers lots of hugs and kisses and making art for our families who we love so much! Then we showed how much we love playing with the blocks and towers and our kitchen play area, so we started learning all about fruits and shapes. We made apples and grapes by doing some fun messy painting.
We
used our handprints to make strawberries. We even got to do some squishy sensory play with banana, which was fun and yummy! We finished off by celebrating Carnival Day and sensory play. We made some Carnival masks and did some sensory feather play! We also made clown handprints and did some messy sensory play with pasta. We really enjoyed when our Educarer Iris held us up to paint our classroom whiteboard. This was so much fun to decorate it all by ourselves.
The Baby Room welcomed our new friend Miles to our class. Miles has nothing but smiles for his teachers!
We also said goodbye to our little Baby Room graduates Danny and Luke who moved up to the Junior Wobbler Room! We will miss them but can’t wait to join them soon when we are bigger.
We have started learning greeting words, like Hello, Hi and Hiya, which we use a lot while making our important phone calls we made in class to our Mamas and Dadas!
Also, our friend Sasha started walking recently which was very exciting and a huge milestone!

Stories from our Wonderful Wobbler Room

Our Junior Wobblers started off by learning all about colours. We made red love hearts, yellow sunflowers and green apples.
We enjoyed making our Chinese New Year art! Then we started our Love Week, where we made our families Valentines cards.
We made little fishy kissing with our handprints, and a big love canvas for our class. We really enjoyed storytelling with our new Owl puppet that our Educarer Maria uses. Then we started learning all about flowers and plants. We made Tulips using forks and trying to stamp them which was tricky but fun. We also made some handprint flowers with the help or our Educarer Paula. We made a big tree with every ones fingerprints to show how we are all one big happy family in our class. Our Educarers Paula and Maria also brought in some real flowers for us to do some sensory play with. We loved throwing them in the air. We finished February by learning all about clothes, as lots of us are interested in taking off our shoes and socks toplay with. We designed our own t-shirts by colouring and painting. We did a very fun sock matching game where we had to find the socks our Educarers hid.
Our favourite activity was doing a sensory fabric activity, where we played with the material while listening to music and we expressed how we felt. It was so much fun throwing the material up in the air and dancing around with it. We also loved dressing up for Carnival Day and making some fun masks too.
Wobbler 1 was sad to say goodbye to our friends Sadhbh and Luca who moved up to Wobbler 2. But we got two new friends Danny and Luke who moved in from the Baby Room next door! We can’t wait for all the fun ahead of us!

We painted some beautiful flowers with our hands because we love messy painting. We also painted some paper plate suns too with our Educarers Remy and Rocio. We used cotton wool to create some cloud art, because Spring showers bring the summer flowers! We have started to notice and recognise that colours are different, so our Educarers started teaching us about colours too. We did some sensory painting with Ziploc bags with our Educarer Helen to explore how colours mix together. We also used pompoms and a peg to do some creative art. We loved painting our masks and art for Carnival day and dressing up too. We had so much fun dancing and playing games with Katie our Educarer. We made clown wigs by painting cotton wool and made silly glasses with plates. We are so excited to keep growing and learning more in March.

Tales from our Toddler Room

Our Toddlers are starting to name our different body parts, so we did a topic about the body. Where we painted our hands and feet to look at how all of our hand and footprints are different and how we are all unique. We also did some finger painting and did lots of body action songs like Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. Then after we noticed the clouds moving in the sky, and our Educarer Luana started to teach us all about the weather. We made clouds using cotton wool and painted lots of colourful clouds that rained. We also painted some big yellow suns. We talked a lot about the weather every morning too by looking out our class windows, and while in the garden.
We loved making our St Valentine’s Day cards for our families that we love so much. While learning about the weather, we took an interest in rainbows and the colours so that was our next topic. We painted lots of rainbows and talked a lot about the different colours. We loved reading The Hungry Caterpillar story, so we made some rainbow caterpillars with our Educarer Noelia by painting and gluing materials. Then after all the discussions on weather and rainbows, we started to learn all about Springtime. We love spending time in the garden, so we wanted to bring our garden inside. We collected some leaves from outside and used them to create some art by painting with the leaves which we really enjoyed. Our favourite time this month was dressing up for Carnival and having a big disco with our Educarers Carlos, Noelia and Luana. We always have so much fun dancing all together. We can’t wait for more dancing and fun in March.
We were very excited for our friend Isabelle who became a big sister this month as her mum Rachel had a baby girl! Congratulations to the whole family!
Our friends Luc, Lola, Alex and Kai were all off on their next adventure in Preschool 2 on the last day of February. We are going to miss them a lot but are so happy for them to go learn and explore somewhere new. We are excited to be joined by our new friends David, Sibeal and Jamie! Let’s have a great time together learning and growing.
