As the Autumn season truly kicked in, we enjoyed lots of lovely fun learning. We loved learning about the Farm, Autumn colours and materials and
transport too. We celebrated Halloween towards the end of the month with lots of Halloween arts and crafts, games and Dress Up Days.
Our children also loved Pet Day and learning all about different world cuisines during World Food Day. During Beep Beep Day and Road Safety
Week, we did lots of games and activities to help us learn about the importance of road safety.
As always, keep an eye out on our Social Media Channels for photos of our daily activities.
In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms that has taken place during the month of October. We
hope you enjoying browsing through them.

Activities from our Baby Room

This month in our room we were learning about the different types of transport and animals around us, international
foods and Halloween.
We learned about transport due to our babies interests. We love to wave at the airplanes and cars that we see through
the windows of our classroom. We enjoyed creating our baby’s tractors with their footprints, but also when we played
with the hay.
We also discovered that we could paint with the animals feet while we learned about them. Did you know that we could
paint animals using our handprints too? We really enjoyed doing this.
For World Food Day, we loved learning about different types of food from all around the world. It was wonderful to learn
so much about so many countries, although working with all that food made us hungry.
But without a doubt what caught our attention most was everything relating to Halloween.
Our teachers came to class dressed up and all the our crèche has been adored with Halloween decorations made by our
Educarers and children.

Stories from our Wonderful Wobbler Room

Our Wobblers talked about and worked on the Autumnal weather with flashcards and enjoyed using the hand-made weather
board to learn about the different types of weather. We also made a sensorial activity with warm water in a red box and cold
water with ice in a blue box. We had a great time playing with the sand, thinking of the beach and our time there in the
Summer.
For Beep Beep Day and Transport Week, we worked with flashcards and played with different transport toys. We loved to
watch the digger from the building in front of the garden carry sand every day. The builders also pressed the horns on their
trucks and waved at us in the mornings. We were so excited to get our morning greetings from them.
We created a motor circuit around the class with traffic lights and signs. We made messy playing with flour and cars and our
own traffic lights in our room.
We love dancing in the Wobbler Room! We did our own concert with our musical instruments and made a maraca with Rice
Krispies inside to play some music at home for our families.
One of our wobblers common interests are animals. We were jumping like kangaroos and frogs and sliding like a snake all
over the place. We listened to animal sounds and made fossils with animal footprints. We also made a headband from
different animals.
Halloween was really spooky and fun – we loved dressing up!

Tales from our Toddler Room

In the Toddler Room our batteries are fully charged!
This month we have had a lot of activities.
We learned about transport and which ones go on the road, sea, and the sky. Also, we met the builders who are working
next to the crèche. This inspired our toddlers to play with the construction’s trucks, tractors and diggers, we had a great
time. Out of painting with trucks we made a beautiful portrait that we brought home. It was spectacular, and the work of
future artists!
Messy play week was such a mess! Toddlers liked to experiment with their hands and manipulate the paint. They had so
much fun, and it was great to discover different textures.
We love Cooking, we became wonderful chefs. We were practicing our kneading, peeling, whisking, and as a reward for all
this, we baked some delicious and energetic cookies.
For Halloween we danced and sang all day and enjoyed lots of Halloween arts and crafts.

Pre-School Room News

Preschool 1
Autumn has truly arrived and we enjoyed it in our room making lots of arts and crafts about plants, trees, leaves.
We also talked about transports, the ones we use, and we made our own airplanes.
We all really enjoyed World Food Day. Our children learnt about healthy and non-healthy food through different activities such as,
our food traffic light, where the children must sort between the healthy and not so healthy food types. We also talked about
different foods around the world, and they chose their favourite and finally we finished the week preparing a delicious Spanish
Gazpacho. It was very tasty!
At the end of the month we celebrated Halloween and enjoyed making our Halloween decorations. We had an amazing
Halloween party with our spooky and fun dress up costumes.

Preschool 2
Since all the leaves are falling from the trees and the garden is full of them, our children from Pre-school 2 learnt about Autumn
at the beginning of the month.
They were learning about different types of fruits, how the leaves change their colour -green, yellow-brown- and the different
types of clothes that we are going to need from now on.
On their way to collect leaves from the ground in the garden they started to talk about all the planes that they see daily, so
transport was a really good topic to talk about. We even created a city, and a car wash with recycling materials for them to play
and have fun while learning about different types of transports.
Due to some of our friends brining photos in of them on a farm we decided to learn about it. Chickens, pigs, sheep, horses are
just some of the animals we learned about. We learned about their sounds and how they live on the farm. We even learned the
process of milking a cow with our own hands.
Halloween was celebrated in crèche, with lots of Skeletons, witches, vampires, monster dress up…But don’t worry, they weren’t
scary at all! We have so much fun, and we even made a house, that actually was a pumpkin too, for a sad monster that didn’t
have one. We loved our interactive stories and learning.

After-School Adventures

Our After-school children enjoyed our science theme so much that we had two weeks of fun experiments! We made a rainbow
with skittles & hot water, a lava lamp, a volcano.
We made a balloon blow up using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda and sent a balloon rocket all the way to space using a straw
and a string. We also used milk, pepper, and soap to see how important it is to wash our hands. They had so much fun and
loved learning all about science.
We were interested in all kinds of wild animals. From snakes and birds to jaguars and eagles. We talked about the Titanoboa
snake which is now extinct but how it used to be one of the largest snakes that roamed the Earth. We also talked about ostrich,
eagles, and emu’s, which is a species of a large birds. We did lots of arts & crafts about wild animals which they really enjoyed.
There was such excitement as we prepared for Halloween in crèche. We made Halloween decorations and planned for our
Dress Up Day. They have been singing songs about Halloween and talking about the tradition of Halloween, how spirits can
come back to earth for one night. They have been telling ghost stories and learning about all different types of monsters,
witches and Frankenstein.
