Activities from our Baby Room

April arrives with lots of colours and animals! This month our babies were learning about Jack and the Beanstalk enjoying playing with leaves, sensory bottles and beans. We made a nice layout with all the materials that we were playing with doing the beanstalk with leaves and also we planted beans to see how they grow up!

We celebrated Space Day by painting on kitchen foil paper to make a rocket full of colours that we were colouring with solid poster paint.

And for Earth Day we played with blue and green Play-Dough and we paint a big Earth for our room all together!

For Easter we celebrated it with bunnies and eggs. Hop little babies! They love painting with their hands and getting dirty, we did some colourful cardboard eggs with drops of paint. What a mess! And, we give to parents a nice card with a fluffy rabbit tail! Happy Easter!

We enjoy touching everything and we were enjoying playing with feathers, so we learned about birds doing feeders with boxes to feed them in our garden and watch them! It was so excited waiting and see some little birds eating the food we leave inside!

Because of the good feather, babies wanted to spend time outdoors in our cute garden, so we did a full week of picnic time doing some food with paper plates!

And for Picnic Day we did a nice picnic area in the garden, and we did a play-role with our cutlery and food! We enjoyed a lot!

Stories from our Wonderful Wobbler Room

During the first week in April, we enjoyed different activities to do with motor skills, such as bowling in the garden, running between cones, follow a line, practicing fine motor skills with crayons and playdough, imitating animals, and painting with the food. And to finish the week, we did an amazing motor circuit in the class.

In the second week we enjoyed activities about the sky. Our children saw flash cards about the weather and the sky. The art and crafts were separated in four parts (painting the sun, made a plane with the foot, painting a cloud, and sticking cotton and making birds with their hands).

On the third week we did activities about ground transport and Easter. We did “races” with cars and trucks around the class, the children threw the little cars toys on the floor to see the movement and rode bikes in the garden. We made Easter cards for parents and made playdough eggs and painted it in the next day.

For the last week we enjoyed lots of free time. This week the children did messy playing with racing circuits. They completed a motor circuit in the garden, played with different puzzles, danced and sang songs and they did an activity painting with blue and green for Earth Day.

Tales from our Toddler Room

April arrived and with it, Spring, and rain, so in the Toddler Room decided to study water in it different states. We painted with coloured ice, which was prepared by ourselves, we played with the snow and made lot of clouds using cottons.

After this we became superheroes because we love to help others and fight against injustice and crime. We decorated our own super letters, masks and shields with different and fun colours and materials, so as not to be recognized.

Finally, we left our superhero costumes and embarked on the adventure of being archaeologists and went on adventures to investigate in the garden. It was there that we found some huge eggs, but a very mischievous rabbit stole them all from us. Luckily, in the end, we got them all back and you know what? They were from our dinosaur friends. When they were opened, we were able to see and learn how many types of dinosaurs they were, how they lived and why they became extinct.

Lastly, we discovered that before they left, they left us some huge footprints that we keep as a great treasure. What an adventure!!! Are you ready for the next ones? Because we are ready for May!

Pre-School Room News

Pre-school 1

We had such an amazing month un our Pre-school 1 class.

Our children loved our Space theme, and we talked a lot about planets, the solar system, the moon and stars.

We played a lot of games, and enjoyed lots of activities & arts and crafts. We also talked about the galaxy, moon phases, moon turns, space rockets, astronauts, the different planet names.

We had two special events. One of these was Easter, where we decorated Easter eggs and we had to find in the class because the Easter Bunny came here to hide them for us!

We then had another super special event, Earth Day, where we made cards to bring home and talked about how special and unique the Earth is.

Pre-school 2

We all love watching movies and series. But what if we record one too? Our children from Pre-school 2 were learning about cinema and the film “Monsters INC”. With some cardboard boxes, they made a camera and a video camera that they brought to the garden to take pictures and record everyone playing and having fun. They also noticed that the Easter Bunny dropped and hid some Easter eggs all over the garden and our room, so we decided to learn a bit more about it.

As soon as Easter was finished, they took a plane to Spain, they had so much fun learning the colours of the flag, traditional food as well as flamenco dances.

On our last week of April and after dancing to a lot of Spanish songs we learned about fairy tales, creating our own stories and shows with our Puppet Theatre. What an amazing month we had. We can’t wait to see what May is going to bring.

After-School Room News

We have had such a wonderful month in our After-school class. Magic has been one of the main topics this month as they were fascinated about magic and how to do tricks. We learned some magic tricks and our children were wizards and witches, making amazing magic shows.

This month was Easter, and we spoke about the Easter Bunny and the tradition around Easter. We also enjoyed making our Easter eggs and lots of art and crafts. Also, as a celebration we really enjoyed some party time, playing our favourite songs and dancing.

To finish the month, we learned about different countries around the world and also celebrated Earth Day! Earth is one of the planets in the solar system. Also, the good weather is here, and we are taking advantage of it enjoying our outdoor gymnastic classes. We are super flexible, and we love learning new ways to move our bodies.
