What a lovely month we have had during June. As the restrictions have lifted slightly, we are enjoying the stories our children are
telling us, about them meeting up with Grandparents and relatives outdoors.

We shared some lovely moments, engaging in our exciting activities and we made some special memories with our Pre-school
children, as they graduated from Pre-school class. We are so delighted for them, as they soon embark on their next big journey of
Primary School. Before then though, we are looking forward to creating more memories with them during the Summer months.
Special thanks to all our Educarers and staff who made Graduations such a special day for our children, and thank you Chef Aoife for
the amazing cake that she made.

We loved our Summer Festival, celebrating the Euros football tournament, and for Fathers Day, we got very creative and made some
lovely cards and artwork for them. Keep an eye out on our Social Media Channels for photos of our daily activities.
In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms that has taken place during the month of June.

Activities from our Baby Room

Our babies have enjoyed exploring different role playing with our educarers. We had lots of fun
bathing, feeding, soothing, and caring for all our baby dolls in the room. Our babies are so caring
and gentle with all their friends. We also had lots of fun for our summer festival, where we created lots
of summer themed arts and crafts and really enjoyed some water play too.

We also explored the topic of emotions and expressions. We used our room mirror to examine
how our emotions look, such as our happy face, sad and angry face. We also created lots of art
around the different emotions. We loved singing and dancing to our emotion’s songs.

Our babies had fun learning all about our physical development. Our educarers are busy encouraging our babies to stand and move around the room.

We also really enjoyed making our Father’s Day cards and celebrating our own superhero’s.

We will continue to develope both our gross and fine motor skills through fun sensory activities which continuing to learn about our emotions and
becoming more self-aware.

Our Wobbler Room News

Our wobblers celebrated summer with our summer festival. We used all our creative skill to design some delicious looking ice
creams. Use used lots of different materials and techniques to create them. We used finger painting to design and decorate
the wafer cone and glued some paper cuttings for our sprinkles. Yum yum!

We continued with our summer theme and created a beautiful beech by gluing some sand on to a page and the wobblers had
fun exploring the texture. We also brought our water play activities outside to our garden so we could enjoy the beautiful
summer weather.

We explore the sea and what animals we might find. We created a fantastic aquarium with our wobblers. We filled a freezer
bag with some blue water and each child designed some fish which our educarers laminated and then added to our
aquarium. We also made some cards to say thanks to all our daddies!

For our final week in June we, continued our summer theme and will investigate summer safety i.e., sun cream, appropriate
clothing etc, we will also discuss the changes in nature during the summer months.

Tales from our Toddler Room

Toddlers were learning about the parts of the human body. We had lots of fun creating different arts and crafts related to
the different body parts i.e., hand/footprints. We also had lots of fun drawing the outlines of our body to see just how big
our toddlers are. We just loved singing and dancing to the Head, shoulders, knees, and toes songs.

As a result of week 1, the toddlers were really fascinated by how our bodies work through our senses. We had a taste
testing experiment where we explored both the texture and taste of different exotic fruits. We had lots of sensorial
activities and play to encourage their important role.

Our toddlers were interested in exploring our emotions and how we express them to each other. We used some
flashcards to identify different emotions and then searched some of our own story book and discussed how we may feel
in different scenarios.

We are interested in Sports, euros. We are going to try new garden games and different sports. We plan on introducing
games and skills including football, basketball, and athletics. We plan on creating our own basketball hoop and some
placement cones and soccer goals.

Pre-school Room News

Pre-school 1
Our Pre-school children were interested in friendship. The children made gifts for their friends such as bracelets and
necklaces out of pasta. They painted flowers together learning how to work together. We read lots of stories on how to be kind
to our friends and played lots of games where we had to work as a team.

We loved the book ‘we’re all going on a bear hunt’ so much we decided to become explorers and go on our own bear hunt. We
made binoculars, bear masks and maps to go on our own adventure. The children loved singing the songs and role playing
with there friends.

Superheroes are amongst our favourite topics, so we focused on this, and did lots of role play giving ourselves superpowers and
transforming ourselves into different superhero’s every day.

Our children were interested in other countries around the world. We travelled to Spain, France and Brazil among others. We
created giant paella, typical Spanish food. We saw and recreated Monet’s work with his water Lillie in France. We celebrated the
carnivals of Brazil with our own masks.

Pre-school 2
We enjoyed learning all about the Zoo in Preschool 2. We spoke about all the different animals you would see
in the zoo, reading lots of stories. We did lots of arts and crafts making zebras, elephants and giraffes. We
did lots of barn play and role played discussing how the zookeeper would look after the animals in our
classroom.

We had a busy getting ready for our Graduation. We choose Dr. Seuss as our theme. We made Thing 1 and
Thing 2 decorations, and we made our Graduation tshirts, catwalk and hats. We made cat in the hat masks.
All the time practising our graduation songs. We had a great day performing for PS1 and the children’s
favourite part was definitely eating our yummy graduation cake.

We also enjoyed going all around the world, and focused on a different country every day. We went on
trips to the Artic, Egypt, Spain, America and Africa.

For the Artic we made penguins and did a cool ice experiment. For Egypt we did lots of sand play and
learned a song about a camel. For America we pretended to go to Disneyland.
