As the Autumn season truly kicked in, we enjoyed lots of lovely fun learning. We loved learning about the Farm, Autumn colours and materials and
transport too. We celebrated Halloween towards the end of the month with lots of Halloween arts and crafts, games and Dress Up Days.
Our children also loved Pet Day and learning all about different world cuisines during World Food Day. During Beep Beep Day and Road Safety
Week, we did lots of games and activities to help us learn about the importance of road safety.

Activities from our Baby Room

Our babies had lots of fun during the month of October. They have been busy doing lots of activities based on the following topics – Farm animals, Tractors, Autumn colours & Halloween.
Our babies have been learning about farm animals, so they gathered their box of animals and Tania sang ‘old McDonald had a farm’ they clapped along as Tania sang for them. They also decorated their room with some autumnal animals using their little hands and feet to create some squirrels & hedgehogs.
Our babies have been discovering different shapes in their room by using the jigsaws & soft blocks to help identify the shapes.
During messy play they got very excited mixing paint and cooked pasta together it was a very slippery experience for them!!
Our babies have been busy decorating their room for Halloween making pumpkins & ghosts
We also celebrated transport week, pet day, world food day & Halloween.
Thank you all for bringing in puddle suits so our babies can still explore their garden as we head into Winter!

 

 

 

 

Stories from our Wonderful Wobbler & Toddler Rooms

This month the wobblers enjoyed exploring and learning about different topics like Autumn, farm animals, trucks & tractors& Halloween.
They decorated their room with an Autumn tree and painted their handprints as leaves, they also painted squirrels &hedgehogs. Educarers Rocio & Sarai sang the song ‘Autumn Leaves are falling down’ and the children love doing the actions of the leaves falling down!
Our wobblers loved the farm scene that was created for them by Devi & Rocio they gathered their animal box and displayed the different animals in the farm they sang ‘Old McDonald has a farm’.
One of the children found a little ladybug in the garden and Angie & Sarai decided as there was so much interest in this little ladybug to do an activity based on bugs! They painted different bugs with their handprints and made little magnifying glasses so they could go on bug hunt in our garden. They also loved singing the ‘incy wincy spider’ while exploring their garden.
The wobbler’s love doing jigsaws based on shapes. Rocio recognised they were really concentrating on sorting the jigsaws out so she decided to make big shapes on the floor using tape so the children could explore their room and identify the shapes to put inside the big floor shapes. They really enjoyed this activity.
One of the wobblers loves playing with fire engine truck they push it along the floor while making the sounds. The educarers decided to do an activity based on professions like the farmer, fire fighter & bin men. They painted different vegetables that the farmers sows & they made fire fighters helmets.
Our Educarers recycled two cardboard boxes and made them into a supermarket & a tv the wobblers love doing this type of role play activities
They also celebrated transport day, pet day, world food day & Halloween.

 

 

During the month of October, the toddlers were busy learning about Autumn, farm animals, trucks & tractors and Halloween.
This month as the leaves fall and everything turns brown and orange, the toddlers got to explore their garden collecting leaves and finding snails hidden under the leaves. They created an Autumn scene for their room and were busy creating arts & crafts to display.
Our Toddlers made a sensory book with cotton wool, plastic, pompoms & feathers they love taking this book and feeling the different textures.
One of the children’s interests was about the moon so the Educarers talked to the children about when the sunsets and then the moon comes out so they did an art & craft activity using paper plates to help demonstrate this.
The toddlers learned about hot & cold and the Educarers used food dye to add blue & red colouring to water they then added their farm animals to the water!
The toddlers love to dance and shake about so they enjoyed some action songs like ‘head shoulders knees & toes’ & the‘ Hokey Pokey’
They did a big activity about farm animals & tractors. Some of the children talked about their own visit to the farm and the different animals you will find on the farm. They painted pictures of their favourite farm animal. They pretended to be different farm animals and had lots of fun making the different animal sounds.
For Halloween they have been busy decorating their room with ghosts & bats. They also celebrated transport day, pet day ,world food day & Halloween.

 

 

 

Pre-School Room News

October was a fantastic month for our pre school children they looked at the following topics Autumn, animals in the farm &Halloween.
For Autumn activities they were busy collecting leaves in their garden and used autumn inspired colours to make leaf stamps with them. The also made painted a nature box and some of the Educarers collected leafs, pinecones, twigs & flowers from the local park .
The pre-schoolers loved learning about the farm & all the animals that live there. They milked their cows, cracked eggs to find chicks.
This month we took part in national ‘Beep Beep Day’ They learned all about road safety and we enjoyed using are big garden to practise the rules of the road.
One of pre school was interested in the post box so Javi & Ana recycled a cardboard box and created a post box. Each of the children painted pictures for their friends and posted them into the post box. The next day the post man delivered all their letters, and the children were so excited to receive these.
Ana did a ballet class in the garden and the children loved doing pirouettes while listening to classical music.
They made driving licenses for child and then they looked at the different drivers in our community the ambulance driver, the bus driver, train driver.
One of the pre school children’s interest was about the supermarket so Lourdes & Dayana created a supermarket in their home corner. The children made their own money and loved taking turns being the grocer.
We have been doing lots of Halloween arts & crafts in preparation of the Halloween party and also celebrated World Food Day & Pet Day.
