We have had such fun over the past three months, as we enjoyed the rest of the summer and the nice sunshine in July and August.

We took advantage of the nice weather outdoors and played lots of games and had fun with our friends in the fresh air.
In September, we welcomed lots of new children to our rooms and we have formed some lovely new friendships together.
Keep an eye out on our Social Media Channels for photos of our daily activities.

In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms that has taken place during the month of
September. We have also shared some photos with you from our July & August activities. We hope you enjoying browsing through them.

Activities from our Baby Room

Our babies had a fantastic month learning about our new life space, all about me and our emotions
We have been so lucky with the weather this month that we got to do a lot of activities in our garden – we have been
singing our songs clapping our hands in fresh air!
Our babies loved when Nuria & Elena played some hide & seek / peek a boo game this promotes early math skills and
the use of language relating to positions “is it under the table? No! Where can it be?”
We had so much fun doing messy play with Jelly. At first they were cautious about touching it but once they touched it
they felt comfortable they really enjoyed the sensorial experience.
They enjoyed dancing with musical instruments and listening to music. Alba brought in her guitar and sang some songs
for us!
The babies explored the different textures of leaves from our garden they also added them to water as a little
experiment.
We also celebrated friendship day, read a book day, puppet day & grandparents day.

Stories from our Wonderful Wobbler Room

We had a lovely month of September full of fun!
The weather has been amazing, so we set up a textures sensory path in the garden and our wobblers enjoyed walking along
the sensory path and feeling and discovering different textures.
We are learning about our body parts! We sit on front of the mirror and pointed the different parts of our body, it was so fun
and we have learned a lot! We painted our hands and feet and do some painting and talked about what we use our hands
and feet for.
Angie and Sarai are teaching us so many Spanish songs! Our favourite ones are ‘The Colour Monster’ and ‘El arca de Noe’, we
enjoy singing and dancing them.
We love to explore with our senses, we made sensory bags and bottles, texture sensory walks and the most we like is to do
taste and smells tests!
Story time! We have got new stories and we really enjoy reading ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ and ‘Little Miss Trouble’
We also celebrated the following events: Read a book day, Grandparents day, Friendship day and Puppet day.

Tales from our Toddler Room

This month in the Toddler room we had so much fun learning about ourselves, colours, numbers & animals.
Many colourful activities took place this month they painted fish and put them in a fish tank, and they made fishing rods to
catch the fish which was a lovely fine motor skill activity. They used different paint and materials to create symmetric
patterns.
The toddlers were interested in chickens & butterflies, so they did activities to show them the different phases of the
animal life. They created caterpillars, butterflies & chickens.
They spent a lot of time in the garden doing different activities they especially love rolling the ball to each other and are
very good at turn taking!
We made a body with cardboard, and they decorated it with wool, crepe paper, paint & foam. They pointed out the
different body parts and sang the action song head, shoulders, knees & toes.
They also worked on their emotions and loved listening to the story ‘the colour monster’ they did dramatic play pretending
to the different emotions from the book.
They also celebrated the following events :
Friendship Day, where we made hearts from their handprints for their friends.
Puppet Day, where we loved making our sock puppets.
Grandparents Day: We made lovely picture frames with their artwork to give to our adored grandparents.

Pre-School Room News

September got off to great start with lots of fun activities. We welcomed all the children to preschool and did activities based on
All about me & our emotions.
During the first week the children got to explore their new rooms. They were busy decorating their birthday wall & family tree
area. We also introduced the new learning journals and they stuck in their pictures they drew on their first day in pre school into
them.
The children were very excited when we got a new Wendy house in our garden. As the weather has been so good, we are
spending a lot of time in our gardens doing baking, art activities and obstacle courses which was so much fun.
The children learned all about their emotions and drew pictures of how they were feeling. They also read ‘The Colour Monster’
story and did some dramatic play pretending to be the different emotions from the book.
Following on from learning about their emotions they did some activities based on all about me. They did hand/foot prints and
displayed them in the room. They also drew self-portraits of themselves and stuck these into their journals.
Some of the other topics from the children’s emerging interests were:
Dogs – They made dog faces with paper plates and stuck different materials to them. The children named each of their dogs.
Houses – They made a big poster of a house and they discussed what you would find in the different rooms.
Snakes – They learnt about different snakes and used paper plates & play dough to make some slippery snakes!
Colours – They mixed different colour paint together to create a new colour and then they painted pictures with this new colour.
Shapes – They did some activities using lego pieces to help identify & recognise different shapes.
Towers – The children really enjoyed building towers and they used different equipment from their room we even built towers in
our garden too.
Vegetables – They learned all about vegetables and how healthy it is to eat these. They used flashcards to help identify some of
the different veg. They also drew their favourite vegetable for their journals.
Little chefs- they became chefs for a day and did lots of role play activities in their home corner. They also baked some healthy
cookies with the help from our real chef Jose!
They also celebrated Friendship Day, Puppet Day and Grandparents Day.
