What a fun month we have had.
In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms thathas taken place during the month of March. We hope you enjoy browsing through them.
We loved St Patrick’s Day celebrations, making cards for Mother’s Day, reading our books anddressing up for World Book Day and International Women’s Day.

Activities from our Baby Room

This month our children had lots of fun learning about shapes, Zoo animals, music instruments and birds.

The first week of March children explored different shapes through play and art. They loved getting messy painting. They were gluing and sticking different shapes on a train. For Pancakes Tuesday children enjoyed yummy pancakes in creche.

The second week of March children explored Zoo animals through play, arts, and crafts. They also learned what some Zoo animals like to eat., what animals are big, small, which animals can fly and swim. They loved music and movements time and pretending to walk like Zoo animals. They made had fun doing Zoo animals handprints.

The third week of March children were exploring musical instruments through play arts and craft. They made nice xylophones and they loved playing with drums and pianos. For St Patrick’s Day children were dressed in green, they made lovely Irish flags and shamrocks.

Last week of March, children learned about birds as they love exploring in the garden. They loved painting birds and getting messy. For Mother’s Day children made cards for their mothers.

Tales from our Toddler Room

The first week of March children wobblers and toddlers room explored Zoo animals through arts and crafts and play. Children wanted to find out what Zoo animals eat and where they come from. Children also learned about the shapes that they see every day in their environment. For World Book Day children loved story time.

For the second week of March children were interested in transport. Children explored different transport such as cars, buses, trains, trucks, and the sound that they make. Children made a bus using recycled box. Children had bikes race in the garden, they had so much fun.

Third week of March Children explored clothes and different textures. We also made leprechauns for St Patrick Day experimenting with different texture to create cloths pieces such as t shirt, trousers, shoes, and coat. Children enjoyed sensory play with green feathers and wore green on Wednesday.

Last week of March children continued with texture emerging interest. Children explored different materials such as soft, hard, smooth, and rough. Children also loved music and movement time and singing different nursery rhymes. Children made lovely cards for Mother’s Day.

Pre-School Room News

Pre-school 1

First week of March children’s emerging interest were babies and dolls. Children enjoyed role play with babies, they were taking care of babies, feeding them, changing their nappies, dressing them, putting babies to sleep. During the arts and crafts time they created a big baby using carboard they loved to paint it, they also made babies using their handprints. As part of our monthly curriculum, children explored bugs through messy play and playdough. For World’s Book Day children made their own book marks as children love their story time in creche.

Second week in March children’s emerging interest was Space and Aliens. Children were exploring space and planets though arts, crafts and story time and their favourite book A place for Pluto. Children made their own space rockets and moon. They loved playdough time too with black playdough for the space and glitter and green playdough with google eyes for Aliens.

Third week of March children continued with Space emerging interest and continued exploring space. For St Patricks Day Children enjoyed arts and crafts. Children made night forest with fairies doors, shamrocks and fairies doors. Children also made Irish flags.

The fourth week of March children emerging interest was colours and shapes we also covered Zoo as part of our monthly curriculum. Children explored different shapes and loved mixing colours to creative new colours. They enjoyed playing different games with shapes during the garden time. Children love yoga time in the garden as the weather was very nice. Children loved playing with Zoo animals and sand. They also created tigers and elephant during the arts and crafts time.

Pre-school 2

First week of March children in pre school room 2 emerging interest was farm animals. Children loved messy play with compact and farm animals. Children made their own farm using recycling box. During the arts and crafts time children made pigs, chicken and sheep. We also covered Zoo as part of our curriculum children played with Zoo animals, they enjoyed arts and crafts creating parrots, lions and giraffes.

Second week of March as children continue to show interest in animals out short term curriculum was wild animals. Children enjoyed arts and crafts. Children also loved playdough time and playing with insects. For International Women’s Day children made cards for their mams.

Third week of March we celebrated St. Patricks Day. We learned the colours of Irish flag and we did shamrocks. Children made a fairy’s House because children had a fairy in the creche, and she needed a place to sleep. They enjoyed role play.

The last week of March children showed interest in Egypt. Children learned about pyramids, we made our own pyramid using cardboard. We also made mummies. We made a pharaoh hats and learned how much cats were important pets for Egyptians. To celebrate Mother’s Day we made cards for our mothers.

After-School Room News

After schoolers had so much fun this month. Apart from having lots of fun in the garden playing different games, music and movement and p.e Afterschoolers also loved arts and crafts time.

First week of March we did lots of arts and crafts for spring. We made our own butterflies.

Second week of March we enjoyed making giraffes as we were interested in the Zoo animals.

Third week of March we were getting ready to celebrate St. Patricks Day, so we made Irish flags and our own poster with leprechaun.

Last week of March we enjoyed baking and making cards for mothers day.
