We have had such fun over the past three months, as we enjoyed the rest of the summer and the nice sunshine in July and August.
We took advantage of the nice weather outdoors and played lots of games and had fun with our friends in the fresh air.
In September, we welcomed lots of new children to our rooms and we have formed some lovely new friendships together.

Stories from our Wonderful Wobbler Toddlers
First week of September children in our Wobbler and Toddler Room were interested in Dinosaurs. We had such a
brilliant time learning about different types of dinosaurs, we enjoyed our arts and crafts time and story times with the
dinosaurs books. We have had a nice weather and we had lots of fun in the garden, we were making dinosaurs noises
and we walked like dinosaurs.
Second week of September children’s emerging interest was all about me and my favourite story as children loved story
time. We enjoyed painting and making handprints with our favourite colours, we talked about our favourite food and our
favourite animals. hand prints We learned new songs, we had fun during music and movements time.
Third week of September children’s emerging interest was construction. We had lots of fun during the art time, making
trucks, houses, buildings, and cranes. We loved to play with cars, and we had a car race. As part of our monthly event
children made lovely cards for their grandparents for Grandparents Day.
Last week of September was Autumn week. We picked up some leaves and left it in the room for our children to see and
explore different colours of Autumn.
Pre-School Room News
Preschool 1
First week of September was “Welcome to Preschool”. We made children feel welcome to preschool 1. We got to know each other,
and we got familiar with our new environment. We had fun painting and creating our class puzzle. We celebrated friendship day
and we loved art time, we made Pandas and Koalas as our group’s names are Pandas and Koalas.
Second week of September our emerging interest was Hairdressers. Children enjoyed role play. We had our hair done, we loved
being hairdressers. We also covered our curriculum planning for this month that was all about me. We had lots of fun during our
arts and crafts time, we discussed our favourite colours, our favourite food, our favourite animals etc. We loved story time. Our
favourite books were “The best kiss” and “Dave’s blast off”
Third week of September children’s emerging interests were occupations. We enjoyed fire fighters and police role play. We made
some lovely arts and crafts. As part of our Event, we used puppets during the story time to express our emotions.
Fourth week of September was Detective’s week. We loved role play, we were detectives and police officers. We had lots of fun
during the arts and crafts time too. We used magnifying glass to search for small things and insects in the garden. As part of our
curriculum, we talked about feelings and emotions. Children loved book “The coloured monster” and we did art inspired by the
book. We loved making cards for our grandparents for grandparents’ day.
Last week of September children’s emerging interest was Bakery and cakes. We made lovely cupcakes. We had lots of fun during
our bakery roleplay.
Preschool 2
First week of September was welcome to pre school 2. Everyone was welcomed to Monkeys class. On 1st of September, we
celebrated Friendship Day by creating a big jigsaw for our classroom, because we all fit together.
Second week of September was all about me and food. We started this month with getting to know each other and learning
about ourselves. Our white boards were displayed with our favourite things such as colours and food. We loved roleplay where
we opened a nice restaurant where we cooked and had lots of fun together. On September 8th we talked about our favourite
books. We particularly loved “A taste of a Moon “, “Go tell it to the toucan!” and “The colour Monster”.
Third week of September was Hairdressers and all about me and Family week. One of the best things we liked to do was pretend
to be hairdressers. Everybody enjoyed brushing our friends hair and pretending to be in a Beauty salon. We also talked about our
families and made a nice house where we included all house members. We loved showing pictures of our family that we have on
our family display wall. On our Puppet Day, we played with emotions puppets: happy, angry, sadness and fear.
Fourth week of September was Superheroes week. In this class everyone loved the Superheroes play role specially Avengers. We
made masks with our favourite superheroes. We made Captain America’s shield and we played with Superheroes puppets.
Related with emotions we made nice craft inspired by the book “ Colour Monster” . We sprayed water on our coloured monsters
and sticked tissue paper on them. On September 22nd we celebrated Grandparents Day by making lovely cards with our
handprints.
Fifth week of September emerging interests are Monsters. As we loved Colour Monster book last week and we loved making
colour monsters, this week we talked about different types of monsters such as Tickle monster. At garden time we liked to
pretend to be a monster and we love to chase our friends. We brought tree leaves to our class for Autumn as Autumn is already
here and there are lots of Autumn colours around us.
After-School Adventures
After schoolers were getting to know each other at the beginning of this month. Their emerging interests this month were all
about me, games, books, and yoga. Children were interested in learning few words different languages, they loved listening to
Spanish stories.
The weather was nice so they enjoyed playing lots of different games outside and doing Yoga.
