In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms that has taken place during the month of April. We hope you enjoy browsing through them.
Easter, Earth Day, Space Day and Picnics were all enjoyed by our children and they loved the different types of activities.

Activities from our Baby & Wobbler Room
This month children in our Baby and Wobbler Room had lots of fun learning about Moon, Dinosaurs, Fairy Tales, and Sea Animals
The first week of April children explored different space and planets through play and art. They loved getting messy painting. They were gluing and sticking. For Space Day children enjoyed arts and crafts time and getting messy painting.
The second week of April children explored Dinosaurs through play, arts, and crafts. They enjoyed arts and crafts time where they created different types of dinosaurs. Children loved playing with dinosaurs and making dinosaurs noises. For Easter children did lots of painting and creating lovely handprints arts. They enjoyed Easter egg hunt in the garden.
The third week of April children were exploring Fairy Tales through play arts and craft. They made creative arts such as castle, princess, crown, and carriage. For Earth Day children enjoyed being outside looking at the sky, clouds, birds, and the Sun.
Last week of April, children explored sea animals through play, arts and crafts and water play. Children loved getting messy painting, sticking, gluing and creating sea animals arts. For National Picnic Day children had lots of fun outside.
Stories from our Wonderful Wobbler & Toddler Room
The first week of April children in wobblers and toddlers room explored different insects. Children loved exploring the garden, looking for the spider and observing what spider is doing. Children learned some new names of different insects through the sensory play. Children created some nice arts such as butterflies, spiders, and bees.For Space Day Children enjoyed arts and crafts time creating astronauts, rockets, and spaceship.
For the second week of April children continued to show interest in Space and Moon. We read a book A place for Pluto and the taste of the Moon during our story time. We painted our own Moon and loved to get messy during the arts and crafts time.
Third week of April Children explored Dinosaurs through play, arts, and crafts. We learned that Dinosaurs come from eggs. We did lots of arts and crafts for Easter, we made Easter eggs, Bunnies, and carrots during our art time.
Last week of April children explored Sea World and Sea animals through water play, messy play, arts and crafts and story time. For National Picnic Day we had indoor picnic at our home corner and outdoor picnic.
Pre-School Room News
Pre-school 1
First week of April children’s emerging interest was different jobs. During this week we did a police car using paper plates and we made construction worker that we later coloured. Children enjoyed dressing up and role play about different jobs such as Doctor, Chef, Firefighter, Builder etc. They loved to cook at the home corner and taking temperature of their friends using Doctor’s First Aid kit. For Space Day children made Space Rockets with their handprints. They loved playdough time too with black playdough for the space and glitter and green playdough with google eyes for Aliens.
Second week in April children’s emerging interest was Farm Animals. Children loved massy play, painting with animals, playdough. We also had lots of fun during the arts and crafts time where we crated pigs, sheep, chicken, and rooster handprints. To celebrate Easter children had Easter egg hunt and we loved arts and craft time.
Third week of April children continued with Farm Animals as they showed interest in playing with farm animals and exploring farm animals through messy play, painting, playdough, and arts. For Earth Day Children enjoyed arts and crafts. We created our own planet Earth with our handprints. We also covered Europe as part of Links curriculum we made Eiffel tower, we talked about Spain.
The fourth week of April children’s emerging interest was Dinosaurs. Children explored Dinosaurs through play, story time, arts, and crafts. We loved playdough and messy play. We learned about different types of Dinosaurs, what they ate, where they lived and that they come from eggs. We made dinosaurs boles using salty playdough that we baked. For Picnic Day we had picnic in the garden.
Pre-school 2
First week of April children in preschool room 2 emerging interest was Volcano and Space. We created our own Volcano where we could see different stages and parts of it.Children also made their own 3D Volcano during the arts and crafts time. We learned about Space, we made aliens, different planets, and the moon. Children loved making their own big space rocket and we made our own solar system using recycling box.
Second week of April emerging interest in pre 2 room was buildings and constructions. We made a big castle using recycling box, we loved playing with wooden blocks, magnets and clicks and creating different buildings. We also talked about our houses we live in. As part of Easter celebration, we made Easter Bunny and tree with Easter eggs, and chicken farmhouse. We also had Easter egg hunt.
Third week of April we continued with constructions and buildings emerging interests. We enjoyed arts time where we created our own skyscrapers, we built a little town with our houses. As part of Links curriculum, we learned about European countries, and we explored map of Europe. For Earth’s Day we learned how to take care of our planet and recycle.
The last week of April children’s emerging interest was dinosaurs. We learned about different dinosaurs names, what they liked to eat, we explored dinosaurs bones through play, we loved playdough time and messy play with dinosaurs. We made our own T-Rex and learned about dinosaurs that could fly. For Picnic Day we had lots of fun in the garden. We also had our own indoor picnic.
After-School Room News
After schoolers had so much fun this month. Apart from having lots of fun in the garden playing different games, music and movement and p.e After schoolers also loved arts and crafts time.
First week of April after schoolers learned about Space and we made our Solar System and learned names of the planets. We made a space rocket and we played with it.
The second week of April after schoolers had Easter camp, we had Easter egg hunt and we had lots of fun baking.
Third week of April after schoolers were interested in constructions. They loved playing with magnets and clicks and crating buildings. We celebrated Earth Day and how talked about how to save our planet.
Last week of April children were interested in learning new Spanish words, they explored Spain through books, arts, and crafts time. Children learned about Spanish flag, Spanish food and national, folk people wear in Spain. For Picnic Day, children enjoyed picnic time in the garden.
