What a lovely month we have had during June. As the restrictions have lifted slightly, we are enjoying the stories our children are
telling us, about them meeting up with Grandparents and relatives outdoors.

We shared some lovely moments, engaging in our exciting activities and we made some special memories with our Pre-school
children, as they graduated from Pre-school class. We are so delighted for them, as they soon embark on their next big journey of
Primary School. Before then though, we are looking forward to creating more memories with them during the Summer months.
Special thanks to all our Educarers and staff who made Graduations such a special day for our children, and thank you Chef Rafa and Charlie for
the amazing cake.

We loved our Summer Festival, celebrating the Euros football tournament, and for Fathers Day, we got very creative and made some
lovely cards and artwork for them. Keep an eye out on our Social Media Channels for photos of our daily activities.
In this newsletter, we have shared some insight into the activities from each of our rooms that has taken place during the month of June.

Activities from our Baby Room

It has been a height of activities in our Baby Room. One of the most interesting activities was “the magic box”, where
we added to different textured objects of colours and shapes and gave the children the opportunity to explore them.
We made the children a race car and we played with them in it and we sang songs about different types of transport.
For our “Hula Hoop sensitive” activity, the babies got to touch different materials, such as paper, sponges and soft
cloths around the “hula hoop” and they had to try to throw them into the ring. They loved doing this and we all
enjoyed lots of giggles watching them.

Our Wobbler Room News

For our Transport theme, our Wobblers made a car. We used a cardboard box, decorated previously with paint and added
wheels, steering wheel and even side mirrors. All the children took turns getting into it and they loved whizzing around the
room.
With the beautiful weather we have been having, we are always on the lookout for our mini beasts in the garden. We found
some ladybugs and made a little house for them out of leaves and twigs.
When we went back into our rooms, we made our own mini beasts with and practised our painting, colouring and gluing.
Our Educarers prepared many activities related to the beach. We made a fish using different paper colours. All children did a
group activity where they created the sea using paint and blue art resources. We brought the activities into to the garden and
we did lots of water play with sea animals. We made an ice cream using glue with little paper balls to make the sprinkles on
top.

Tales from our Toddler Room

Our Toddlers were learning all about different countries and we made an Irish and Spanish flag for our room. We also
talking about the foods we eat, the languages we speak and the different types of weather in different countries too.
For song time, we made up a song about different countries and had a lovely time singing together.
With the Euro 2020 Football Tournament taking place in June, we practised our football skills with throwing, catching and
kicking. We also painted a football and a basketball too, as some of our children like to like this game too.
Our Toddlers have the best imagination when it comes to role play. For our Transport theme, we went in “our cars” and
enjoyed trips to the beach and the park. We also made a Bus, created tickets for it, and hopped on together and sang The
Wheels On The Bus, while we enjoyed the sights around us.
Mini Beasts are a real fascination for us all. We made a butterfly; finger painted trees and stamped the tree leaves to
make leaf textures. We also made a family of caterpillars and talked about the life cycle of when it first is a caterpillar, and
then turns into a butterfly.
During the last week in June, we enjoyed sensory play with ice and fruits and painted different fruits. We got our first
taste of lemons and did a cutting fruit activity.

flags and exploring the foods they eat.
As the summertime brings us trips to the beach with our families, we enjoyed sensory play with sand, and added our fishes
and crabs to it. We build a sandcastle and made an aquarium for our wall display.
We loved our Insect hunt in the garden and made art & crafts of ladybirds, bees and butterflies. We also went camping in our
room and made a pretend camp fire to sit around and sing.
