Our Journey with your Child
We provide care for a range of age groups across our 14 locations.
Our learning spaces have been designed to suit each developmental age with responsive Educarers to cater to each child’s unique needs. All children who attend our crèche full-time will have a settling in period when they start with us. We will work closely with you to gradually introduce you and your child to the crèche.
AGES 1-2
Nursery
Our nursery rooms are designed to be soft and gentle – with muted colours, cosy corners and lots of space to crawl, climb and wobble in safety!
Our nursery caters for children up to the age of 2. At this early stage in your child’s development it is essential that the Educarer work closely with you to understand and cater for your child’s unique needs. Daily chats are standard and you can drop in any time, of course.
Your child will develop, surrounded by a range of age appropriate and stimulating toys and when rest is needed, each nursery room has a dedicated sleep space, to ensure a peaceful nap in preparation for the next adventure!
AGES 2-3
Toddler
As your child grows, they thrive on new challenges and stimulating experiences. Our Educarers support their development by encouraging language skills through songs, storytelling and role play. Toddlers build vocabulary and communication skills through interactive indoor and outdoor activities like arts and crafts, baking, music, and physical exercise. Our play-based curriculum fosters language development, social interaction and great fun.
AGES 3-5
Pre-School
Moving to Preschool is an exciting further step in your child's education journey. You will notice them taking more and more control of their crèche experience. Their natural curiosity will be shaped by a carefully designed curriculum where the emphasis is on each child's unique interests and style of learning. For the older children there is preparation for the excitement of 'big school' and for all children there is the development of independence, confidence and communication, vital to their fulfilment in all walks of life. Get ready for lots of music, dance and performance ...... and, of course, finally the 'Graduation'!
Naíscoil
Links Childcare has one Naíscoil located at Links Childcare Blackrock. Naíscoil has everything our Pre-School room offers but the aim is also to expose the children to basic vocabulary and structures, ‘as Gaeilge’. Children learn to hear the sounds and rhythms of Gaeilge through rhyme, music, song and art.
AGES 4+
After-School
Links Childcare provides an after-school club from certain crèche locations. We operate a drop-off and collection service to/from selected primary schools (see list below for the current academic year). We also provide an after-school care only service without transport.
